Sorry to hear about your favourite writer :(

I agree, news like this makes you feel powerless, and makes you reflect on life as a whole, this can be tough thing for all of us to handle, but sometimes it can be a good thing to understand what's important in life. :) Big Hug!

thanks for leaving that comment on my mcqueen post. i started really getting into fashion around his highland rape collection and there are so many moments in my life that i closely associate with a lot of his early works. i feel like an old personal friend of mine just left me. he will be terribly missed.

This is truly a sad day for fashion. I loved his visions, creations and fantasy. I hope he's in peace now.

untimely deaths like these always make you question our society, how we live our lives and what we uphold as important.

You've chosen a beatiful photo. White is the colour of death. And the mourning swan ...

He was my favourite and I consider him a talent beyond needles and threads.

perfect picture for remembrance. i'm so sad for the news, too. mcQueen's a genius, he'll surely be missed; the avant garde shows won't be the same without his daring designs :'(

Hello,
I still think about him everyday and don't really know why I am so effected by his passing... I didn't know him. Perhaps it's because he became what I have always aspired to be. Someone who could inject some beauty into our lives. And now he's gone.
I am writing this to let you (and your readers know)that L'Officiel has published a tribute magazine to him titled Alexander McQueen Le genie PROVOCATEUR en 1000 photos.
I ordered it and received it today from The Magazine Cafe in NY.
I am so pleased with it and thought your readers might like to know about it.
Thank you for your beautiful photo and heartfelt words as well.
Sincerely,
Brian
PS. I live in Seattle and have no connection to L'Officiel or the Cafe in NY.
