When clothes make you feel shy

blouse Yohji Yamamoto

This is the blouse I mentioned in On Fashion (Part II). I didn't start wearing it until 8 months after I had bought it because I thought its elegance and delicacy were beyond me. Oddly enough, even then I knew my shyness towards it would dissolve with time.

It did take a while, but I'm glad to say we've been on excellent terms ever since.

i think it is DIVINE!!! absolutely perfect!!!

for some reason when i buy new stuff, it usually remains unworn for months. i don't know what that is! maybe savoring it without wearing it? biding one's time for the perfect moment? so strange, but i do it a lot! :)

That is so cute that a blouse would make you feel shy - especially because you seem so sophisticated and elegant yourself. It looks beautiful.

This happens with me a lot. I buy something because it's absolutely gorgeous, but then I never seem to walk out my door with it on. But once I do dare to wear it out, it usually becomes one of my regular pieces. Lovely blouse!

I've totally went through that phase too! where I've dismissed a piece of clothing in the past, only I re-dig it up later and think of ways to wear it.

What a lovely blouse. And thanks for the nice comment about my awkwardness! haha

Oh my goodness, it's to die for. And even though it took eight months it was totally worth it. Wow, it's just to die for.

poznam ta filing. Nekaj ti ji grozno všeč in celo sam si si v tem všeč, potem ti je pa to nerodno obleči za v javnost. čeprav na tej fotki zgleda kot, da sta z bluzico že dolgo prijateljici.
