Clothes Anna Molinari, photographed by Helmut Newton
Found this photo the other day leafing through a book (hence the 67) and although she's wearing a sweater, I find this a very proximate visual representation of what summer feels like. Something about it reminds me of L'Avventura -- at first glance the only two things the photo and the film have in common are Italy and black and white, but it's easy to make the rest up yourself.
As the heat has fried what was left of my brain after the June exams, I'll only mention that yesterday I realized wearing high heels in 39°C really does make you look like you're trying too hard and I vowed never to commit this potential gaffe myself.

Beautiful picture.
I think black works in ever time of weather. It's just about finding the perfect combo. I think wedges are more comfy than heels in hot weather.
Lovely photo! I agree with the outfit looking summery, I`m guilty of wearing all-black in the summer too!
Amazing blog by the way, I'm definitely following you now :)

I agree@Ruta, it really does work with any weather. Love the picture!
i can just imagine the hot wind blowing as she wanders through the desert in all her finery, lovely photo :) high heels and heat do not belong in the same sentence =_="
Whoa, I can imagine the heat you're goin thru! Athens was 38-40 celcius and I was complaining the whole time. Heels should definitely not be in the picture in the hottest summer days:P
Lol I also vowed to never commit that gaffe :-) PS< I loooove this model's jewels, so stunning!
Awesome !
I love this photo, feminine and strong,
dark and elegant...
And do many other things...
Thank you so much for your kind words Eva! I really appreciate you and the kind of person - interesting, multi-talented, widely-traveled and cultivated... most of all kind - you seem to be.
Continue enchanting me and many others with your lovely blogging... the photo is very chic and sizzling as well!
